THRIFTY THURSDAY - MY NEW MESSAGE/PICTURE BOARD
While redecorating my home office, I decided I needed a message board. I bought a cheap cork for $3, used the fabric I used for my bench, and pulled out some ribbon from my scrapbooking supplies. Of course, I had to use my scissors and craft bond for the material.
Here is the finished product. I was very happy with it. For a total of $3 and about 20 minutes I end up with a great message board.

FALL/WINTER ACTIVITIES PLANNED FOR PAYTON
Fall is here and winter is right around the corner. I want to keep Payton active and entertained with enjoyable things to do this winter. At the beginning of the summer, I made a list of things I wanted to share with Payton during the summer. I managed to get everything accomplished except for 1 thing.
As a person who likes to stay organized, I am a list person. I have lists for everything. This list helps me prepare and plan ahead.
Most of the items on my list cost very little or nothing. I will be sharing with you our fun filled days.
- Go to Nephew's Baseball Game
- Continue Movie Night
- Camp Out in the Living Room - Move the furniture and pitch the tents
- Ride a Pony - Payton ask to do this everytime she sees a horse.
- Visit the Pumpkin Patch
- Paint a pumpkin
- Trick-or-Treating
- Visit Santa
- Christmas Lights @ Tanglewood
- Snow Sledding - This depends on the weather of course, we haven't had a lot of snow in the past few years.
Do you also make a list?
Do you have any other ideas for me?
Let me know!

I admit Harry Connick Jr. has not been in my CD player until this review but I do love his music. I found it so relaxing. Great music to listen to while working. I loved the songs on his new CD Your Songs and found myself thinking of the days when I had heard them before. He also has a few new songs on the CD too. I saw him perform while on The View last week and he was wonderful.

FRIGIDAIRE'S "MAKE TIME FOR CHANGE" CAMPAIGN
Many of us have heard about, or experienced first-hand, the time-saving power of Frigidaire's incredible new appliance line. Now the brand is taking their commitment to mothers one step forward by partnering with an admired and philanthropic celebrity mom- Jennifer Garner.
Not only is Jennifer a huge fan of the time-saving features of the new Frigidaire appliance line, but she's teaming up with the brand to launch an incredible campaign for an important cause. Jennifer and Frigidaire are proud to kick off the "Make Time for CHANGE" campaign to support Save the Children's U.S. Programs, dedicated to making a difference for the smallest and most vulnerable Americans - children.
Frigidaire's new line of appliances, the largest launch in the brand's history, is designed with time-saving features for busy moms. While it's only September, we're asking Moms - and everyone who believes in the power of Moms - to think ahead to November 1st - the day all of us change the clocks and get an extra hour - and pledge to use that time to make CHANGE for children.
Starting today, for everyone who goes to Frigidaire.com and raises their hand with a pledge to make time for a child, Frigidaire will donate $1 to support the CHANGE program and Save the Children's work to help children in need in the U.S. And in addition to that fuzzy feeling you get from doing something good, everyone who pledges their time will be entered for a chance to win a new Frigidaire Professional double wall oven! Those in the market for top-notch new appliances should also know that, for every new Frigidaire Professional double wall oven sold, Frigidaire will donate $100 to Save the Children's U.S Programs as part of their $250,000 commitment to this worthy cause.
