Today's question.....Have you ever complained to a company or manufacturer about their product or service when you had a bad experience?  If so, what was the outcome?

I am getting ready to write one in the next few minutes.  We received a gift card along with a 25% off coupon to Ruby Tuesday.  I was so looking forward to going out to dinner but I was not satisfied with our service or with my daughters dinner.  I will say that Ruby Tuesday is a favorite of ours but last nights experience was not a pleasurable one.  Looking forward to their response.

Ways I Saved/Earned Money This Week

- I read all of my Inbox Dollars emails for my account and my husband's daily to add money to our accounts.

- I read all of my MyPoints emails daily for my account and my husband's to add points to receive FREE gift cards.

- Cleaned out my coupon binder and filed new coupons for future shopping trips.

- Continued to use my FREE samples this week including - lip balm, dish detergent (full size bottle), dryer sheets, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion.

- We did NOT eat out at all last week. Money in my pocket. This is our biggest downfall when trying to stick to a budget.

- Added several items to my yard sale/flea market storage bins.

- Cashed in points for a $20 Amazon Gift Card.

- Wrote a sponsored post for a $30 Amazon Gift Card.

- Cleaned out and took an inventory of my freezer.  Made a list of items that I need to look for on sale.

- I have been looking for wooden letters to spell out Bryson for his room.  Found them on sale at Babiesrus Buy 1 Get 1 50% off.  I did 2 transactions when purchasing them so I could the best price.  I had a 20% off total purchase coupon and a $5 off any purchase coupon.  So glad I waited for them to go on sale.

- Went shopping on Wednesday to take advantage of some great deals.

- Only used my dishwasher once this week.

- Made my yearly tax folder to start gathering all my information and documents needed for my taxes.
- On sunny days, I am trying to keep unneeded lights off to save on my power bill.

- Compared gas prices before filling up.

Thrifty Craft - Cotton Ball Snowman

Payton has been wishing for snow for weeks now.  We have seen a few flakes but no accumulation.  She has been wanting to make a snowman, so we did.  Not exactly what she had been wishing for but she enjoyed our craft time.

Materials Needed:

2 Circles made from White construction/scrapbook paper - 1 Medium, 1 Large
2 Arms made from Brown construction/scrapbook paper
Eyes made from Black construction/scrapbook paper
Nose made from Orange construction/scrapbook paper

Here is our finished product:

It was a no cost craft since I had all the materials we needed.  Hopefully, she will get to make a real snowman soon.

Menu Planning Monday - 1/16

One of my goals for 2012 is to plan a menu for each week.  I have been planning a menu but not posting it until this week.  I find it a lot easier to know what is for dinner.  It helps me save money and plan ahead when grocery shopping.  If you have been having problems choosing what's for dinner, maybe this would work for you.

Monday - Tacos with Spanish Rice

Tuesday - Baked Potato and Salad with Grilled Vegetables

Wednesday - Chicken Parmesan, Salad, Bread

Thursday - Taco Ring

Friday - Salmon Fillets, Rice and Corn

Saturday - Dinner out Using a gift card and coupon received as a Christmas gift

Sunday - I always leave Sunday open because my dh likes to plan our menu and do most of the cooking.
