I love to hear from my readers and I encourage you to leave comments on any blog you visit.

Today's question....What is your favorite coupon?
I have several favorite ones.  Since my son is still in diapers I love to always have Huggies diaper and wipe coupons available.  I hate to have to buy any without coupons.  I also love coupons for FREE items.  This is a great way to try something new and not have to worry about paying for something that you are not sure whether you will like.

Warning Signs to Keep Your Kids Safe

Thankfully, spring is just around the corner.  Now is the perfect time to start preparing.  The grass will need mowing, the flowers will be blooming and you and the kids will be outside enjoying the warm, sunny days.  If you are a parent like me, is there anything we can do to keep our kids safe this summer?  Safety signs may need to be added to your neighborhood to keep all children safe.

- If you live in a neighborhood, maybe you can add a warning sign "Children at Play".  Alert drivers to slow down and watch out for your children and other children in the neighborhood.

- If you have a pool, maybe you need update your pool signs.  Let kids know what the pool rules are.  This will encourage everyone to play by the rules so everyone can have a wonderful time without injuries.

- Does your street need a pedistrian crossing sign?  Take a collection from your neighbors and add one yourself?  This may be great for "walkers" in your neighborhood.

- Is there any area in your neighborhood where kids do not need to play?  A No Playing sign maybe needed.  A reminder for children is always great and could prevent an accident.

If safety signs are something you need, check out www.safetysign.com. They have a great selections and you can even design a custom sign for any need you may have.

Cancel the Mold Show In Your Bathroom

As we all know, cleaning is a never ending job.  I try to stick to a schedule so it doesn't get overwhelming.  Certain days are dedicated to cleaning certain rooms.  I have found the day I dread the most is the day to clean the bathrooms.

In my opinion, cleaning the bathroom is the messiest and hardest job to do.  I have 2 full baths and 1 half bath.  They are all used often.  The half bath is always cleaned first so I can tackle the 2 full baths at the same time.  The showers and tubs are always the hardest to clean.  I sometimes have to deal with mold in the showers if I don't take measures to prevent it.  By living in North Carolina, the summer is the worst time for me to have mold.  It can get so hot and humid during the summer and that seems to raise your chance having mold problems.

Things I Do to Prevent Mold:

1) After taking a shower, squeegee the the walls and remove all the water.

2) Towel dry the bottom of the shower to remove all the water.

3) Leave the shower door/shower curtain open to help circulate the air.

4) Turn the ventilation fan on after taking a shower to help circulate the air.

5) I keep a spray bottle of 1 part bleach mixed with 2 parts water in my shower.  I spray the areas in the shower where mold tends to appear at least twice a week.

6) Dry the shower curtain after each shower. After the shower is dry, pull the curtain to prevent the curtain molding.

7) Make sure there is no water leaks in your bathroom.  The continued wetness and dampness is an excellent area for mold.

The ugly truth is 100% of homes have mold. And while most cleaners can remove visible dirt, the deep-cleaning Tilex® lineup is formulated to attack mold and mildew and cancel the mold show in your bathroom. Beyond the bathroom, mold is commonly found in window sills, refrigerator seals, under the kitchen sink, air registers and entryways. It grows in moist environments and room temperature conditions. Did you know that regular cleaning with a bleach-based product can effectively kill mold? Our friends at Tilex® want to inform you that Tilex® products should be the foundation of your bathroom cleaning routine to keep mold stains out-of-sight. Mold and mildew are ALWAYS up to no good in your bathroom and Tilex® will help you get rid of even the hardest to remove stains.
Unfortunately, mold is something that I will always have to deal with.  I will definitely be trying the Tilex Mold and Mildew Remover.  Anything that can make a problem, less a problem is great.  Do you have mold problems?  If so, how do you control it??

Check out Sonny Mold and Frankie Mildew, the Tilex® mold and mildew trouble-making stars. Use Tilex to rid these mischievous, uninvited guests from your bathroom.

Build-A-Bear Workshop - Friends Count

This year, Build-A-Bear Workshop will celebrate two major milestones.  The first milestone is their 15th birthday.  I can't believe it has been 15 years.  I can remember going to Build-A-Bear for the first time, I was 28.  I wanted to be a kid again and make a bear.  Since opening in 1997, Build-A-Bear has been a global brand while being recognized as a company with heart. The second milestone is the celebration of selling their 100 millionth furry friend.

To celebrate both of these milestones, Build-A-Bear Workshop wants to spread the word that Friends Count! Whether your best friend is one of your longtime gal pals, your spouse, your pet, or even your teddy bear, we can all agree that our friends have made our lives so much better.  I can not imagine my life without my friends.  I am so very lucky that I have a friend that I have been friends with since I was 2.  Our families were friends, and then we became friends. We grew up together, went to school together our whole life, and celebrated our marriages and the birth of our kids together.   We have also been through a lot bad times together.  Losing parents, divorce and getting remarried, ups and downs of being a mother and just problems of everyday life.  I can not imagine my life without her.  I cherish every minute we have shared.  We may not always talk weekly, but we know no matter what....we are ALWAYS there if we need each other.   I feel very blessed to have her as my friend.

Join Build-A-Bear in their celebration.  Maybe its time for a new friend for yourself or your child.  Anytime is a perfect time to get a new furry friend.

NEW Tuesday Series - Thrifty Items That Keep Me Organized

Starting today and continuing every Tuesday, I will share a thrifty item that helps keep me organized.  By no way, am I as organized as I would like to be, but I do try.

A Chalk Board

I have this chalkboard hung in my pantry.  I use it for my grocery list.  I add items as I run out of something.  I use to use a notepad but every time I would start a list my daughter or husband would need the notepad, move it to another location or write on my list. This seems to work best for me and I always know if there are any items I need when planning my grocery shopping.

The chalkboard was actually a gift from a friend but I am sure you could find one very cheap or possible make one for yourself with chalkboard paint.

Clorox Clean-Up "Recipes for Fun" Sweepstakes + Our First Snow Cream of the Year and Recipe

I love to bring my kids into the kitchen with me to cook.  The time of the year can determine what we are cooking.  In the summertime, we enjoy cooking our vegetables we have grown.  In the winter, we like to make hot chocolate, bake cookies and if possible snow cream.  Today was a perfect chance to make snow cream.  I have fond memories of making this when I was a child with my mom.  Hopefully, my kids will have fond memories of cooking with me when they are older.  We have had very little snow this year but today we got lucky and it is snowing now.  We took advantage of our chance.

We placed a big bowl outside on the patio table and after watching it snow for a few hours we journeyed outside to retrieve our bowl.  We all love snow cream and were very excited to have some for an afternoon snack. This may be our only chance this winter.  It is so simple to make and takes very little time.  Once you make it, you need to eat it immediately so it doesn't melt.

Recipe:
1 Gallon Snow
1 Cup of Sugar
1 Tbsp Vanilla Flavoring
2 Cups of Milk
Sprinkles

Add sugar and vanilla flavor.  Slowly add the milk to your desired consistency.  (You can also use chocolate milk.) Serve in ice cream bowls and add sprinkles on top.
