CSN Stores Giveaway Coming Soon

Big Lots Finds

I posted earlier about the 20% coupon available this weekend for Big Lots.  So while we were out yesterday, I ran by a couple to see what I could find.  A friend told me about the Instant Scrapbooks she saw at her local store.  I love to do these for my kids.  The scrapbook pages are already made and you have to do is add pictures and stickers if you prefer(they are included with the book).  I purchase a couple of them a couple weeks ago from our local store.  The price is unbeatable.  I have never found them this cheap.

This is what I purchased yesterday with my coupon:

2 - Hallmark Happy Birthday Instant Scrapbooks - $4 each = $8 less 20% = $6.40 total

1 - Little All Star Baby Boy Book - $5 less 20% = $4

Total OOP (incl. tax) - $11.23

I was very pleased with my purchase.  I just wish that I had found more.  The selection varies from each store.  These would also make great birthday gifts or baby shower gifts. 

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Review

To describe it in one word....entertaining!! 

We got to go to the circus yesterday.  We had so much fun.  Not only was entertaining for Payton but my husband and I also enjoyed it.  Since Bryson is only 7 months old, he didn't really pay a lot of attention to the show.  He just enjoyed watching all the people around him and when everyone would applaud he would smile.  It has been many years since my husband and I had been to the circus and it was Payton's first time.  It brought back lots of childhood memories for both of us.  It was a great family outing.  Payton is already asking to go again. 

On our way home, I asked what every ones favorite thing was.  Payton said her favorite thing was the elephants.  She loves animals and her face lite up when the elephants were performing.  My husbands favorite thing was the motorcycles (a typical guy response).  He remembers seeing them when he was a kid and he is still trying to figure out how they ride in a cage.  My favorite thing was the trapeze performers.  I love to watch them and I can only imagine the rush they get each time they perform.

Ways I Saved/Earned Money This Week

Here is a list of things I did to save/earn money this week:

- I read all of my Inbox Dollars emails daily to add money to my account.

- I read all of my MyPoints emails daily to add points to receive FREE gift cards.

 

- Continued to stockpile grocery items.

- Took advantage of the deals on diapers this week and stockpiled a few.

- Had leftovers for lunch 2 days this week. No food wasted and money saved by not cooking something else.

- Continued trying to teach my 4 year old the importance of not leaving lights on or not using lights during the day when they are not needed. (Not sure if we will ever get there!)

- Cleaned out my coupon binder and filed new coupons for future shopping trips.

- Received $10 from Cash4Books in Referrals - Thanks!!

- Watched 1 movie for FREE saved on my DVR, thanks to Starz free weekend on Directv a couple of months ago. 

  

- Received a $3 deposit in paypal for a survey payments.

- Planned my shopping trips with sales ads and coupons so I would be prepared to shop while we were already out so I wouldn't have to make any special trips.

- Transferred a prescription to Kerr Drug and earned a FREE $25 gift card. 

 

- For my enjoyment, I read a FREE book that I received from Booksneeze.  

 

- Finished gathering all my tax information so I can prepare ours as soon as dh's W-2 arrives.

 

- Planned an outing for tomorrow. Trying to see how I can save money while taking a day trip.  Will  post my details.
