Ways I Saved/Earned Money This Week

- I read all of my MyPoints emails daily for my account and my husband's to add points to receive FREE gift cards.

- Cleaned out my coupon binder.

- Continued to use my FREE samples this week including - lotion, conditioner and lip conditioner.

- Only used my dishwasher once this week.

- Requested a couple of FREE samples.

- Stuck to my menu plan this week. No eating out.

- Saved .05 per gallon when filling up by using my gas fuel rewards.

- Continued to cut my dryer sheets in half to save.

-  Planned my grocery shopping using sales and coupons. 

- Entered Coke Reward Points and Huggies Rewards point to each account for FREE gift cards, coupons and gifts.

- Cashed Swagbucks for a $5 Amazon gift card. 

- DH finally plowed me a space for a garden.  I plan on having one this summer instead of just a few plants.

-  Watched a movie I had recorded when Directv offered FREE Movie Package weekend.  I refuse to pay for movies. :)

- Received a few great samples in the mail this week.

- Donated a bag of childrens clothes to Goodwill.  I save all my receipts for tax donations.

- Grilled out 2 nights this week.  No stove or microwave used for dinner.

- The temperature has been just right this week.  No A/C or heat has been on.

- Besides carpool for school, I stayed home 3 days this week.

Mega Swagbucks Day

If you haven't signed up with Swagbucks, you definitely need to. It is a great search engine where you can earn swagbucks every time you search. I average 20-30 swagbucks a day. You can also download the Swagbucks Toolbar and Swagbucks will give you FREE swagcodes occasionally.

You can redeem your swagbucks for great prizes. My favorite prize is Amazon gift cards. With 450 swagbucks you can earn a $5 Amazon gift card. I apply my gift cards to my Amazon account and save them to use at Christmas.

Chef Fabio Viviani’s Creamy Apple Walnut Chicken Salad Recipe

Creamy Apple Walnut Chicken Salad

Serve: 6

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (about 1-1/4 lbs.)

1 Tbsp. Bertolli® Extra Light™ Tasting Olive Oil

¼ cup lowfat sour cream

1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice

1 tsp. stone ground mustard

2 apples, cored and cubed in bite-size pieces

2 ribs celery, thinly sliced diagonally

½ cup chopped Walnuts

1 Tbsp. chopped chives

Season chicken with salt and ground black pepper. Heat Bertolli Extra Light Tasting Olive Oil in 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken, turning once, about 10 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly cooked.  Cool chicken completely and cut into bite-size pieces.

Combine sour cream, mustard, and lemon juice in medium bowl.  Stir in chicken, apples, celery, walnuts and chives. Serve cold. Serve, if desired, with crusty Italian bread or over greens.
