Earth Day

*In Store Only on April 19th*
On April 19, 2008 Walmart is giving away 1 million free reusable shopping bags starting at 8AM local time. Plastic bags can take as long as 1,000 years to degrade. Celebrate Earth Day the right way.
Idea Needed!!!
My mother-in-law's birthday was yesterday. We are celebrating this weekend. Her 2 sons have gone in together and bought her gift cards with an "entertainment" theme (movie theater, Blockbuster, Chilis Restaurant, and Catos). She will be able to have a few nights of dinner, movie and shopping. I am trying to come up with a creative idea for giving her the gift cards. I don't want to just put them in a card. Any ideas??????? Help!!!!!!
FINALLY - Its Suppose to Be Nice This Weekend.

I am so happy that it is FINALLY going to nice this weekend. I have so much work that I need to do in my yard. I plan on doing that Saturday and I would love to go back to the park with Payton. Saturday night I am going to my favorite restaurant ...... Arigatos....... Japanese steakhouse. A splurge to celebrate a family members birthday. I couldn't say NO to that.
Does anyone have anything fun planned this weekend?? Let me know.

Has anyone tried the electronic coupons downloaded to your store cards?? How do you like them?
Turn Old Cell Phones into Cash

Cash in old cell phones http://www.cellforcash.com/Total cash for old cell = $5.00-$50.00 Log on, locate your make and model and get a quote in seconds. You do need to know your exact model — simply pop out the battery and look behind it. If you're satisfied with the price they offer (anywhere from $5 for a regular cell to over $50 for a higher-end Blackberry), request a postage paid box. The phone must be able to power up and complete a call and you'll need to send in the charger as well. Cellforcash.com will mail you a check within 30 days. The site takes the old phones, refurbishes them and resells them in developing countries. It's a win, win.

Payton at the Park
My daughter is now 18 months old. Wow, where did the past year and half go? It is amazing how fast time flies. I spent the whole day Friday with Payton. We started out going for her 18 month checkup. Everything is fine, no shots!!! :) We then went to the park for almost 2 hours. She had so much fun. We spent the afternoon by going out to lunch and shopping. Here are some pictures from the park on Friday. We had such a wonderful time.

She was so excited to be at the park.
The faster and higher the better.

In this picture, her daddy mentioned something about leaving and she was not happy with that idea.

Veggies and Dip

Everyone has served this for some occasion. I thought this was the neatest thing. I've never seen veggies and dip done quite this way.
Of course, its just Ranch dressing in the bottom of each glass along with green peppers, red peppers, carrot sticks, celery sticks and sugar snap peas.
I think this is so festive and decorative.

Have you tried any of the above things? If so, let me know if they worked or not.

The best way for a person to have happy thoughts is to count his/her blessings, and not his cash.
