I would recommend do the following with your computer turned OFF.
1) Place a placemat, paper, etc over your keyboard to prevent attracting dust.
2) Pencil Eraser - Use a clean eraser to wipe gunk off the keys.
3) Cotton Swabs - Swipe between keys to remove dust.
4) Makeup Brush - Swipe between keys to remove dust.
5) Rubbing Alcohol - Dampen a cloth with alcohol and wipe surfaces to remove grime and clean your keyboard. ( I do this often and it works great.) Do not pour alcohol directly onto the keyboard.

Compressed air - use it to get all the gunk out from under your keyes. Tip your keyboard up on one end and spray inbetween the keyes.
