WAYS I SAVED MONEY IN JULY

- Earned another $5 Amazon Gift Card from Swagbucks, $30 earned so far toward my Christmas budget

- Frequently shopped goodwill and habitat for humanity stores for items to change and redecorate my home (Posts to come to show my great finds)

- Used coupons on every shopping trip.

- Kept all lights off as much as possible.

- Tried to control my A/C to save $ on power.

- Continued to use samples for shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, lotion, and toothpaste.

- Watched 4 movies FREE thanks to DIRECTV Free Movie Channel Weekends. Still have some left on my DVR to watch.

- Read all emails and took surveys from Inbox Dollars to earn extra cash.

- Read all emails and completed 30 searches from MyPoints to earn gift cards.

- Did NOT shop CVS or Walgreens all month. Nothing needed so not any money spent.

- Went through ebates when ordering online.

- Ordered Payton some summer clothes for next year from The Children's Place. Items were on sale, used 20% coupon, plus a coupon code for FREE shipping. Details here.

- Sent off rebates for items totalling - $15 waiting to receive

While On Vacation:

- Took everything we needed from our stockpile instead of doing all grocery shopping there. We only spent a total of $42 on groceries for 7 days, 5 people.

- Used coupons when grocery shopping.

- Used coupons when eating out.

- Used a discount card on our aquarium tickets.

- Went to a FREE fireworks show on the 4th.

- Took a cooler with drinks while traveling to cut back on stops and spending money for drinks.

- Pack a snack bag full of goodies from my stockpile to carry in the car.

- Planned ahead on my shopping trip to the outlet stores. Took coupons with me and purchased a couple of Christmas presents.

MY NUMBER 1 WAY OF SAVING MONEY THIS MONTH - OUR VACATION WAS PAID FOR IN CASH. That includes condo, gas, food, shopping...everything. No credit cards were used.
