Thrifty Manicure

Do It Yourself:
1) Clean the nail - Remove old polish
2) File nails.
3) Soak in warm water and liquid soap. Massage oil into cuticles. I use baby oil. I do not buy cuticle oil.
4) Use a cuticle pusher to remove cuticle overgrowth from the nail bed and trim hangnails along the sides.
5) Wipe the nail surface again with polish remover to remove oil.
6) Apply a clear base coat - it hydrates nails to minimize splitting or cracking.

7) Apply polish in 2 thin coats. Applying polish too thick its more like to chip.
8) Fix smudges.
9) Finish with a quick drying top coat. Recommend to reapply top coat every other day to prolong the longevity of the manicure.

Hot Tip: If nails become yellowed by polish, rub them with the peel of a lemon or grapefruit.
