Virginia Beach - Love the Moment

When summer arrives, the beach is soon to follow.  Growing up, a trip to the beach was taken every summer and I have been fortunate enough to carry on that tradition with my family.  I just booked my reservations last week and I am already counting down the days.

Virginia Beach has everything you could possibly think of to have a wonderful vacation.  Your vacation can be fun-filled from the time to you arrive until the time it is for you to leave.  Below is  a few of the things you can do in Virginia Beach.

- Beach - Endless things to do on the beach with your family. Swimming, searching for the perfect seashell, laying in the sun, a great spot to read a book, get some exercise by taking a walk on the beach or a run.  This is where we spend most of our time.

- Restaurants - A trip to the beach is never complete without a great seafood dinner for me.  There are plenty of restaurants to choose from if seafood is not for you.

- Parasailing - Something I have always wanted to do.  Trying new things is a great way to make a vacation memorable.

- Aquarium - Tour the aquarium and explore the different kinds of ocean wildlife.  Something enjoyable for all ages.  A great thing to do on a rainy day.

- Golf - Lots of golf courses for anyone interested in spending the day playing golf.

- Fishing - Take the family fishing on a charter boat, from the shore, fishing pier or do some inlet fishing. I find fishing a great way to relax.

- Shopping - Lots of stores and shops for any kind of shopping you like to do.  I love to find the unique shops to purchase that one of a kind item as your souvenir.

- Lighthouses - Go to Fort Story and check out the lighthouses.  A great way to learn a little bit of history.

- Ocean Breeze Waterpark - Be a kid again and spending your day at the waterpark.  You will have fun and your kids will too.

If you are considering a beach vacation this summer, Virginia Beach would be a great choice.  Virginia Beach has over 14 miles of public beaches, I'm sure you can find that perfect spot.  The water is warm and the waves are mild.  I often say there is nothing better than the sun on my face and sand between my toes.
