Fun-Filled Labor Day Weekend

What a wonderful THRIFTY weekend we had!! Or should I say what a wonderful weekend Payton had.

Her busy weekend began on Friday. She spent the night with her grandma and they rented Marmaduke. She has been wanting to see that movie. (NO COST)

Saturday night we had friends over for dinner. We had barbecue chicken on the grill along with grilled potatoes, grilled onions and peppers, salad, and bread. (NO COST - we had everything we needed and our friends brought the chicken)
Sunday Matt and Payton went to Concord Mills. Matt had a Bass Pro Shop gift card from Christmas that wanted to use on some items from their Labor Day Sale. BPS was having lots of activities for kids coloring, tire rolling (won a free matchbox car), bing bag throwing, and remote control cars. She also rode the carousel in the mall a couple of times. (Money spent on gas and they also had lunch in the food court. Total money spent $31.15 and I still have a 1/2 tank of gas left.)

Monday morning she had a play date at the park with her friend from daycare. She has missed her so much and was sooooooo excited to see her. Its hard to believe it has been almost 3 months since she has been to daycare. (NO COST - Took snacks and bottled water from home.)

Monday evening we had dinner with my family to celebrate my mom's birthday. Today is her birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY mom. It is always great to be with family. (Went to the Lone Star and took advantage of their great deal going on now - 2 for $20 that I posted last week. The food was great and it was nice to not have to cook.)

Overall, we had a wonderful thrifty Labor Day weekend. Nothing better than spending time with family and friends.

Here are some pictures from our Labor Day weekend -- ENJOY!
