An old tackle box can be used for other things besides a tackle box. I currently use one now for a tool box. In the bottom I have a hammer, screw drivers, and a wrench. In the compartments I have nails, thumb tacks, picture holders, and a tape measure. I have also seen antique tool boxes used for desk organizers to hold notepads, pens, paper clips, stamps etc.
