Finally Friday
It's BINGO night!! I didn't get to go last month because I was on vacation. I couldn't believe how much I missed it. Wish me luck tonight!!My family is getting together and going out to dinner Saturday. We are celebrating mine and my sister-in-laws birthday. We are a little late but better late than never. We haven't decided where we are going. I would like to go the Olive Garden. I don't think I could ever get tired of going there. I would be happy with just salad and bread.
The weather is suppose to be nice this weekend and I plan on spending lots of time outside since Payton is better. She has been asking to get in the pool.

JUDGED BY USING COUPONS!!
Yesterday, I decided to stop by Dollar General again for another great deal. As I was checking out, there was 2 ladies behind me waiting. The cashier was making small talk and I hadn't really acknowledged the 2 ladies UNTIL I handed the cashier my coupons. At first I heard, "look she has several coupons", then it was "goodness, I wonder how long this will take", next I heard "look at what she is using them on......hair products" and last but not least I heard "it amazes me that she has to use coupons because she doesn't have any money but she is buying hair products and not any food or diapers for her child". OK, that was it!!!!! After taking a couple of deep breaths I turned around and said........
"I'm sorry you had to wait 30 seconds for the cashier to scan my coupons. I really need my hairspray. I came in yesterday and got 6 cans. I can't come back tomorrow because I don't have any coupons left. Its a shame you don't have any coupons to use today. I know there is some available for your items. I can't imagine what its like to throw money away."
I paid then I turned back to the "nice" ladies and said don't always judge a book by its cover.
Of course, I could have said more. I wanted to say more!
It amazes me that I got judged because I had coupons!! I really wanted to tell them that I have money. My family is blessed enough to be able to do and go as we please. We don't have brand new cars with all the available options but its our choice that we don't have that. We don't want to make car payments. I use coupons to save money, to help prepare for my childs future, our future, to be able to pay off bills because I am tired of being in debt, to be able to have money in our savings accounts, and I really enjoy the thrill of getting a great deal etc. We are not rich by no means but we are blessed that we have what we do. I guess this is the first time I have really gotten upset when making a purchase with coupons. Nothing has ever offended more.

Thrifty Pedicure
Do It Yourself1) Clip overgrown nails and remove polish.
2) Use a dry-skin file to remove stubborn calluses.
3) Soak feet in warm, soap water for 10 minutes and then exfoliate using a grainy scrub on feet, heels, legs. and rinse.
4) Gently push back cuticles.
5) Slather cream on legs and feet.
6) Rub nail with polish remover.
7) Paint on a base coat - it hydrates nails to minimize splitting or cracking.
8) Apply polish in 2 thin coats. Applying polish too thick its more like to chip.
8) Fix smudges.
9) Finish with a quick drying top coat. Recommend to reapply top coat every other day to prolong the longevity of the pedicure.

Fruit Pizza
Ingredients:
2 Rolls Refrigerated Sugar Cookie Dough
12 oz. Cream Cheese Spread
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Tsp. Vanilla
1 Can Crushed Pineapple, Drained and Reserve Juice
1 Cup Orange Juice
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
Frozen Shredded Coconut
Strawberris, Blueberries, kiwi or any Seasonal Fruit
Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour pizza pan. Press out cookie dough. Bake 15-20 minutes - until golden brown. Let cool completely.
Combine pineapple juice, orange juice, 1/2 cup sugar and cornstarch. Boil until thick. Set aside, let cool.
Combine cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla. Spread over crust. Sprinkle with coconut and crushed pineapple. Pour on orange sauce. Arrange fruit on top. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
This is wonderful!!

Multi-Use Item - Pantiliners
I have never really thought about it or even considered another use for a pantiliner until last night. I have plenty after all my CVS deals. I wanted to repaint my toenails and as I was looking for my cottonballs I saw my pantiliners and thought hmmmm I bet that would work. It worked great!!!
My husband found it hilarious!! Of course, you can imagine what he thought when he walked into the bedroom to find me rubbing a pantiliner across my toes. LOL
I just had to share!! So remember, if you run out of cottonballs don't forget your pantiliners!!

Dollar General - Great Deal
A couple of weeks ago there were some Suave coupons. Suave is what I use for hairspray, mousse, and shower gel if I have available. I usually find the best prices at Dollar General. I stopped in there yesterday and found several DG coupon available throughout the store. There was one also available for Suave products - $2 off a $6 purchase. This is the deal I got.

Finally Friday
Wohooooooo its Friday!!! Its been a rocky week for me with a sick baby but hopefully the weekend will be better. The only thing I would love to do right now is sleep. Have a great weekend and I'll be back Monday with something new for my blog!!

Thoughtful Thursday.....UPDATE!!
I just got back from the doctor and Payton has a chest, throat, and head infection. They gave her cough medicine and an antibiotic. Hopefully, this will get her on the road to recovery.
Today I am going to be selfish and ask and that you send all your thoughts and best wishes my way. My 21 month old daughter Payton still has a terrible head and chest cold. This has been going on for a week now and she isn't getting any better if not a little worse. I was up watching cartoons this morning from 1am to 3:30am. She coughed the whole time. I am taking her to the doctor this morning. Hopefully, he will give me some miracle medicine.

Thrifty Hobbies
I love to read but ever since I had my daughter I haven't picked up the first book until the week I was on vacation. I read 3 books during my week at the coast and 1 since I have been home. Since I work full-time, I feel like any time I have to read should be spent with Payton. I have now started to read every night when I go to bed. Now only do I enjoy it, but I have found that it helps me fall asleep faster.
I just went to the library today and picked up 3 more by some of my favorite authors. The library is such a wonderful place. Free books for anyone. My favorite authors are Fern Michaels, Mary Higgins Clark, Sandra Brown, and Carol Higgins Clark. A great friend and a frequent blog visitor, Shannon, told me about a website she was referred to the last time she was at the library http://www.literature-map.com/. You enter in your favorite author and it recommends other authors who write the "same" type book. Check it out!

Snow Cones
My husband loves snow cones. A childhood favorite that he still loves. He found a ice shaver at Wal-Mart a couple of summers ago on clearance for $5. We have used it a few times for making drinks or making a soda icee but this summer we have made great snow cones. We have purchased a couple of the snow cone syrups but kool-aid works great too. If you happen to catch one on sale, buy it. The kids will love it and the grown ups too. Crush your ice and add your favorite flavoring.
